Level 2 Certificate in Maintenance Technology

To Achieve the Level 2 Certificate in Engineering IVQ- Maintenance Technology (2850- 82), learners must achieve 35 credits:

  • 21 credits from the mandatory units plus;
  • A minimum of 14 credits from the optional unit (please see the table below):

Entry Requirements

Certificate Level Applicants

There are no formal entry requirements for candidates under taking these qualifications. Career Advancement Programme (CAP) applicants, ages 16- 19 will be subjected to do a Math’s and English entry test. Applicants should also complete and submit a registration form with the required supporting documents stated on the application form.

Diploma Level Applicants

Applicants should already possess a level 2 certification in the related field from a tertiary level institution or minimum four- six (4- 6) CXC/ CAPE subjects, Math’s and English and any other related subjects OR a minimum of two (2) years’ work experience may also be considered. Applicants should also complete and submit a registration form with the required supporting documents stated on the application form.Applicants ages 16- 19 who do have the specified CXC/CAPE subjects may still be subjected to sit a Diagnostic Mathematics and English Test.
