This is an international qualification which provides essential knowledge and practical skills for anyone involved in teaching, training and assessing learners.

There are three levels.

  • Award Level – Introductory Award
  • Level 2 – Diploma
  • Level 3 – Advanced Diploma

INTRODUCTORY AWARD – Award Level

About This Level
This level provides an introduction to training. It is only offered to CAP students.  The programme covers basic theory and practical skills needed to begin training and presenting .  It includes identification of training needs, development of programmes as well as Delivery and Assessment.

Who is this for?
This level is intended for individuals who are interested in learning about the basics of training.

This level is only offered to CAP students who have the following qualifications????

Progression
Students who successfully complete this level can progress to Level 2, the Diploma.

DIPLOMA – Level 2

About This Level
At this level individuals will be taught how to;  identify  the training needs of learners, develop programmes as well as the delivery and assessment of these.

Who is this for?
This level is intended for individuals who have some knowledge and basic skills in the education and training industry.

Entry Requirements
No teaching experience is required but all applicants have 5 or more CXC or CAPE  subjects

Students who successfully complete this level can progress to Level 3, the Advanced Diploma.

ADVANCED DIPLOMA – Level 3

About This Level
The Advanced Diploma comprises of five core units with associated practical activities to ensure the learner has the necessary underpinning knowledge to perform tasks to specific standards.

Who is this for?
Level 3 is ideal if you are a qualified teacher, assessor or trainer looking for continuing professional development, or you have an introductory qualification and want to progress further.
