About the programme
The IVQs in Health Care provide a framework for training and qualifications equipping care workers with the knowledge to deliver the highest standards of service as well as providing a structure for their further development.
These qualifications have been designed to provide a comprehensive core programme of learning and assessment for health care workers in a range of settings.
Allied health professionals work across a variety of settings including but not limited to:
• Private practice
• Community health centers
• Mental health services
• Care homes
Make It Yours- Who Is this for?
The IVQ in Health Care is designed for people who work in a range of health and social care settings including residential, day care, hospital, housing, or domiciliary.
Programme Structure & Course Duration
Units 1 – 2 (4 Hours)
- Developing own knowledge and practice in a care setting.
- Rights, responsibilities and protection in care
Units 3 – 4 (4 Hours)
- Communication with and completing
- Understanding health and safety practice in a care setting
Whilst there are no formal entry requirements for candidates undertaking these qualifications, candidates will require to have a reasonable level of Communication and Numerical Skills in order to complete the assessment requirements. Applicants may be subjected to sit a Diagnostic Mathematics and English Test, if they do not possess passes in any previous exams.
Learners must successfully complete all parts of an assignment, to a satisfactory and appropriate standard, in order to gain a pass grade for each assignment. Assignments cannot be omitted, submitted incomplete or of an unsatisfactory standard.
First and Second Year………….. Internal Assessment.
All Assessments are subject to internal and external verification.
2 years – 4 Semesters
